Terms and Conditions
Welcome to OathBuddy. By accessing our website, joining our waitlist, or using our app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Service Description
OathBuddy is an application for users in the United States preparing for the U.S. naturalization interview. The app provides a daily study plan, a learning path of bite-size civics lessons covering the official USCIS question pools (the 2008 pool and the 2025 pool), voice practice in which Libby, our mascot, asks questions aloud and your spoken answers are transcribed and evaluated by AI, and mock interviews in the format of the official test. Our website also operates as a landing page for informational purposes and to collect sign-ups for updates.
2. Subscriptions and Purchases
The core learning path can be studied for free by typing your answers, and voice practice includes a limited number of free sessions each day. OathBuddy Pro — which unlocks unlimited voice practice and mock interviews — is available as a one-time lifetime purchase ($29.99) or a monthly subscription ($4.99/month), billed through your Apple App Store account via in-app purchase. Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may change. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Subscriptions are managed and can be cancelled through your App Store account settings; refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. If you previously purchased a yearly subscription, it continues under the terms shown at the time of purchase.
3. User Conduct
You agree to use our site and app only for lawful purposes. You obtain no rights to the intellectual property of OathBuddy by using this site, joining the waitlist, or using the app.
4. Acceptable Use
When using OathBuddy, you agree not to:
- Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or abuse the AI evaluation system through prompt injection or similar techniques.
- Use the app to generate, transmit, or store inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content.
- Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality or servers.
- Use the app for any purpose other than practicing for the U.S. naturalization interview.
We reserve the right to terminate access for users who violate these guidelines. Automated checks (input validation and abuse filtering) are applied to what you submit.
5. Disclaimer
OathBuddy is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, or any other government agency. The content provided is for educational purposes only. AI evaluation of your spoken answers is automated and may occasionally be inaccurate; it is a practice aid, not an official assessment.
No Guarantee of Results: OathBuddy is a study aid and does not guarantee success on the U.S. naturalization interview. Results depend on individual preparation, circumstances, and the official USCIS interview process.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OathBuddy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the site or app.
7. Changes to Terms
